The holidays are right around the corner, and amongst the preparations for Christmas, AMVC staff collected money to be used to spread Christmas cheer on behalf of the partners of AMVC. Each year, AMVC employees choose a variety of charities to help those less fortunate.

The Wheatland Lions Club received a monetary donation to put towards their Christmas baskets that will include hams and loins this year.

Cody Benton, Lions Club president, was gracious for the donation, “This donation is so greatly appreciated. In trying to provide a quality meal for the more unfortunate this time of year, any donation is a huge help to our organization and community.”

AMVC employees are humbled to give back to Wheatland and help spread some extra Christmas spirit.

“At AMVC our company motto is doing the right thing every day. As a group, we could not think of a better way to exemplify how much we care about our communities and to honor the partners. It is a great way for us make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate and ensure they have a good Christmas,” said Alicia Humphrey, chair of the Christmas committee at AMVC.

Similar monetary donations were also presented to four other charities across Iowa and Indiana. AMVC owns and manages two sow farms in Wheatland.
