Dr. Taylor Jansen recently attended the U.S. Swine Health Improvement Plan (U.S. SHIP) program. U.S. SHIP is a producer-led, voluntary livestock improvement program that is aimed at improving biosecurity, traceability, and disease surveillance for swine health. The program has been operated as a pilot program since 2020 and is based on mitigation of African Swine Fever and Classical Swine Fever.
