Sen. Grassley visits AMVC Veterinary Services
On Thursday, August 20, Senator Chuck Grassley visited AMVC Veterinary Services in Audubon as part of his 99 county tour across the state.
Dr. Jason Hocker, AMVC partner and veterinarian, presented to the senator an overview of AMVC, discussing the company’s geographic expanse, employee composition and history. Dr. Hocker also highlighted primary issues impacting the business, from trade and the global economy to the importance of attracting and retaining a reliable labor force.
Following the presentation, Sen. Grassley and his staffer participated in a question and answer session. Currently, Sen. Grassley is the Finance Committee Chairman and is on the Senate Agriculture Committee and a senior member of the Budget Committee.
“We appreciate Senator Grassley making the time to include AMVC on his tour across Iowa this year. It was a great opportunity to share the challenges we see facing rural Iowa as well as showcase Audubon County to the Senator,” said Hocker.
