AMVC Management Services, a diversified swine management company, recently promoted Rick Phillips of Five Points, to Sow Farm Manager at Sterling Sow, a 2,400 head sow farm near Mount Sterling, Ohio.

As a sow farm manager, Phillips is responsible for providing daily leadership and direction to his team of employees, as well as, overseeing and monitoring the farm’s production performance.

Phillips started with AMVC in 2017 as a swine specialist and was previously on the farm’s leadership team as the breeding department lead. He helped this farm successfully implement new practices and led his department to a high level of production.

“I enjoy working for AMVC because of the work environment and support everyone gives one another. I enjoy providing care to the pigs and working with crew to meet the farm goals,” commented Phillips.

Phillips brings a strong leadership background and this promotion will compliment his skill set.

“Rick is a proven leader and his focus is on the farm’s performance. I am looking forward to mentoring him and seeing the farm be as successful as possible,” said Mike Mullady, AMVC Sow Production Manager.

Phillips and his wife, Nicki, have three children and reside in Five Points.

AMVC Management Services manages Sterling Sow. AMVC is headquartered in Audubon, Iowa, and has a swine management presence in ten states.
