On Thursday, July 5, Senator Joni Ernst made a visit to AMVC’s veterinary clinic in Audubon as part of her 99 county tour across the state.
Dr. Jason Hocker, AMVC partner and veterinarian, presented to the senator an overview of AMVC, discussing the company’s geographic reach, employee composition and history. Dr. Hocker also highlighted primary issues impacting the business, from trade and the global economy to the importance of attracting and retaining a reliable labor force.
Following the presentation, AMVC partner and veterinarian Dr. Jodie Pettit led Ernst on a tour of the clinic, highlighting key features of the facility and providing introductions of veterinarians and clinic staff.
“We appreciated the opportunity to show Senator Ernst what a rural Iowa business can do and relay some of our concerns to her and her staff,” said Hocker. “We are confident that she understands the unique challenges of rural Iowa and is working our behalf in Washington D.C.”
