AUDUBON, IA – November 4, 2025 – AMVC is proud to share a renewed and expanded commitment to the Audubon community through two recent investments totaling $25,000 in 2025. These contributions focus on strengthening two community resources, the Audubon Community School District and the Audubon Recreation Center.
In partnership with Audubon State Bank and Dr. Daryl and Nancy Olsen, AMVC is continuing its support of the free K-12 student activity ticket program for the 2025-2026 school year. This is the second year of a three-year installment, part of a $45,000 total pledge, that ensures every student receives free admission to all school-sponsored activities, including sporting events and performances.
In a press release, the school shared that the program has already proven highly successful, with students attending approximately 3,000 events in its first year (2024) alone, significantly boosting school spirit and making school activities more accessible to local families.
“This program has been an incredible win for our students and our community,” said Athletic Director Sean Birks. “In just one year, hundreds of students and their families have been able to participate in school events more frequently.”
In a separate donation, AMVC Nutritional Services has donated $20,000 to the Audubon Recreation Center to support facility upgrades and ongoing community wellness programs. Through their $50,000 match challenge, Audubon State Bank has matched the donation and will continue to match all donations through the end of the year.
These funds will be utilized to continue improving the facility and programming, ensuring the ARC remains a high-quality hub for activity and social connection for residents of all ages across the community.
