AMVC Management Services recently recognized employees who achieved a career milestone with the company. Among the recipients were Audubon residents, Greg Jensen and Roger Randeris, who celebrated 20 years with AMVC.
Jensen started his AMVC career in October 1999 as a swine herdsman at Hatteras, LLC, and in 2001 he became a breeding supervisor at the farm. Then in 2006, he was promoted to assistant manager and in 2014 was named a sow farm manager. Today, Jensen is the sow farm manager at Hatteras, a 4,200 head breed to wean sow farm in Audubon, where he oversees the daily care of all animals, on-farm tasks and overall production.
“AMVC has given me the opportunity to work locally and allowed me to keep family close by. AMVC has not treated me as just an employee, but as a friend and co-worker striving to accomplish a common goal. Knowing that I can make a difference by my attitude or by sharing the information on how to handle stress or a problem to a fellow employee makes me excited about work,” commented Jensen.
Roger Randeris was hired in November 1999 to be the farm manager at Currituck, a 1,200 head breed to wean sow farm. He has held the same position for the last 20 years. In addition, Randeris is responsible for leading his team of four employees. When asked what has driven his two-decade career so far, Randeris commented, “It’s the people I work with at Currituck that makes me excited to come to work.”
AMVC is proud to have talented and dedicated farm leaders who take pride in their work and are committed to being solution driven problem solvers in the industry.
“Having had the privilege of working with these men, I had attest to their animal husbandry and on-farm leadership. They are great assets to our sow farm management team. We congratulate Greg and Roger on this honor and are very proud of their hard work and commitment,” commented Dave Wagner, AMVC production manager.
AMVC, based out of Audubon, Iowa, employs over 650 employees and manages 142,500 sows across ten states.
