Audubon residents volunteer at animal learning center

Everyone loves the Iowa State Fair for the various foods on-a-stick, the rides, exhibits and, of course, the animals.

On Monday, Ann Wood-Randeris and Alicia Humphrey, employees of AMVC Management Services, shared their knowledge of pigs with fair-goers in the Paul R. Knapp Animal Learning Center at the Iowa State Fair. They volunteered at the swine birthing station and answered questions about raising pigs.

“It was a really humbling experience to educate others about the swine industry. The learning center is a great place for everyone to get a first-hand glimpse of the industry.” said Alicia Humphrey.
