April is National Volunteer Month and a great time to recognize those in the community that are giving back. Our first feature is the Children's Nest.

Becca Grabill and Joss Clark are AMVC Management Services employees and serve on the Children's Nest Board of Directors, serving as the Vice President and Treasurer respectively.
Grabill enjoys being a part of this board because she knows the group is helping so many children and families by providing care to low income families. I enjoy volunteering with this group, we have a great board of directors. We always manage to have fun while still tacking our sometime lengthy meetings!
Throughout the year, the board organizes several fundraising events that are rewarding. The money raised is to provide upgrades to the center, books, art supplies and new toys for the kids.
We rely on volunteers to run our board, read to the children, clean up the outside and complete projects. Without volunteers our center wouldn’t be as successful as it has become.
It all started with a group of volunteers who saw a need for childcare in Audubon, has grown so much in the almost 5 years its been open.
