On Monday, November 6, three AMVC employees served on a panel for animal science students at Iowa State University. The course, Pork Fellows, invites a guest presenter each week into the class to discuss current swine industry news, trends and production. Dr. Jason Hocker, AMVC Director of Sow Health, Dr. Trey Kellner, AMVC PhD Nutritionist and Alicia Humphrey, public relations coordinator, were able to answer the students' various questions as they represented different areas within AMVC. The students were interested in knowing more about biosecurity practices, herd health, trade issues and advocacy.
