Jay Petersen, a member of the AMVC nutrient management team, participated in IKM-Manning High School STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) festival where they invited area business members and IKM-Manning alumni to teach students about their careers in the field.  In his role, he uses a drone to survey land. The drone is able to take pictures, which helps Jay spot nutrient deficiencies, weed pressures and locate wet areas. He gave a presentation to the students and showcased his drone by flying it for them.

Petersen wants others will be interested in careers in the science field, " I just hope the kids learn how important science, technology and mathematics are in the real world."

Thanks for helping educate the next generation, Jay!
