The nominations were judged by two individuals on the National Pork Board staff. All AMVC employees were eligible to nominate a fellow employee for one of the five awards given out annually.
Amanda Winslow has been an AMVC employee for nine years. She started her career as a swine specialist and over the years has moved up in the company. For the past six years, she has been the farm manager at Taurus Sow, a 5,000 head breed to wean sow farm outside of Creston.
She is very driven and motivated and was praised by her peers for her leadership and caring demeanor, “Amanda works hard not for recognition, but because she truly cares about what she is doing,” commented a nominator.
