AMVC Employee Services recently announced the hiring of Jason Peters, as sow farm manager at Hawkeye Six, a local breed to wean sow farm near Laurens.
In this role, Peters will be responsible for providing daily leadership and direction to his 14 employees, as well as, overseeing and monitoring the farm’s production performance.
“I am excited to join the AMVC team because I strongly believe in their core values. I’ve heard great things about AMVC and cannot wait to meet more people within the organization,” commented Peters.
Peters brings over twenty years of swine experience to the position. He has prior sow farm experience and was previously a regional territory grow-finish manager.
“Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the farm. He is a talented and driven individual and we’re excited to have his on-farm leadership,” said Dave Wagner, AMVC production manager.
Peters resides in Fenton, Iowa, and has three daughters.
AMVC manages Hawkeye Six. AMVC is the ninth largest pork producer in the United States and manages 149,000 sows across ten states.
