Job Description:
Grow Finish Production Manager
Snowflake, Arizona
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and leadership for all nursery barns in Snowflake, Arizona (approximately 35,000-40,000 piglets)
- Steer farms and employees to achieve farm and system goals
- Coach animal caretakers on production practices and record keeping skills
- Help oversee general barn maintenance and communicate needs
- Clearly and concisely communicate with grow/finish and sow production teams
- Efficiently manage own schedule
- Help continue to develop best practices in a dynamic swine production model
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of individual personalities
- High integrity, commitment, respect, and care for all animals
- Ability to use basic Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-changing environment
- No exposure to pigs or direct contact with individuals caring for pigs that are not managed by AMVC Management Services
Required Education or Experience:
- Previous management experience – can be in a non-swine or agricultural field.
- Knowledge of modern swine production.
