AMVC Management Services promoted Justin Weig to Sow Farm Manager at Kingsley Sow, LLC, a 2,800 head breed to wean sow farm near Kingsley.
In this role, Weig will be responsible for providing daily leadership and direction to his employee team, as well as, overseeing and monitoring the farm’s production performance.
Weig started his career with AMVC as a swine specialist in 2013 at Aries Sow near Mount Ayr, Iowa. He was promoted to assistant barn manager at that farm in April 2014 and entered the AMVC Leadership Development Program this year.
“Justin came to our company with a construction background and did not have swine experience, but over the years he has excelled on the farm and proven his dedication, work ethic and leadership potential,” said Dan Weber, AMVC Sow Production Manager. “We have complete faith in Justin and are excited to give him this opportunity to take the farm to the next level.”
Weig will be relocating to the area with his wife, Stephanie, and two daughters, Michele and Kendell.
AMVC Management Services manages Kingsley Sow, LLC, located north of town. AMVC oversees 115,000 sows across seven different states and is headquartered in Audubon, Iowa.
