AMVC Management Services recently graduated nine employees from their Leadership Development Program. The 2018 class is comprised of individuals from five states and is the third group to graduate from the program.

AMVC’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed to develop the next generation of swine production leaders by giving them the skills, knowledge and resources to propel their career with AMVC. Individuals are accepted into this program based on their drive to be in a management position within the company.

“We are really proud of our recent Leadership Development Program graduates. The growth they have shown both personally and professionally over the last year is impressive. We look forward to them continuing to grow into great leaders at AMVC,” said Nick Weihs, AMVC Director of Leadership Development.

The LDP class met bimonthly in Audubon, to further develop their soft and technical skills. Each session consisted of time in the classroom and on-farm with company experts. Over the course of the last year, they participated in a variety of activities to understand all facets of pig farming to better prepare themselves for future roles with AMVC.

AMVC’s next Leadership Development Program class will begin in June 2018.
