AMVC Hamlin Feed Mill Manager
About the role:
AMVC is seeking an organized and motivated individual to provide the following:
- To oversee and manage the startup of the Hamlin Feed Mill
- To create and manage a feed manufacturing and delivery team
- Be responsible for daily production of feed as well as supervising, training, and scheduling all personnel that will optimize the feed mill’s efficiency
- To oversee the feed mill’s maintenance plan
- To create and implement the feed mill’s critical control point and biosecurity plans
- Be responsible for financial oversight of the feed mill
- The role will have full support and assistance from AMVC’s Swine Nutrition, Production, and Veterinary Teams
Who you are:
- Have a well-established feed manufacturing and team management history
- Exhibit superb organizational, time management, and multi-tasking ability
- Be able to manage inquires and problem-solving situations professionally
- Be able to generate and oversee a personnel, training, and maintenance schedule
- Have competent computer skills
- A preference to live within commuting distance of Hamlin, IA
About Hamlin Feed Mill:
Our mission is to professionally manufacture and deliver industry leading swine feeds that provide our customers and clients the greatest advantage and control over the greatest expense of raising a pig through an innovative feed mill. The Hamlin Feed Mill is currently under construction and will be operational in December of 2023. The feed mill will produce up to 400,000 tons of swine feed per year, employ up to eight full-time personnel and generate demand for an additional 14 truck drivers.
