Megan Hesse, registered veterinary technician, and Dr. Amanda Myers participated in the annual Audubon County Farm Bureau Ag Day for fourth grade students. The event was held at the Audubon County Fairgrounds. At the AMVC station, our staff talked about veterinary medicine and animal care. The students had an opportunity to get a first-hand look at the clinic's collection of parasites animals get, as well as, other neat things the veterinarians at AMVC have gathered over the years. The students used a stethoscope and listened to Charleigh's (Megan's dog,) heartbeat and got an idea of what the veterinarians hear when they perform an exam on an animal. It was a great learning experience for all involved!
